Founded in 1980 with a pioneering spirit and vision, founders Susie and Ivor Dunkerton set about making deep flavoured organic ciders and perry without using any concentrates or chemicals, instead growing apples in harmony with the environment to help sustain the natural eco system.
Whilst their name was inspired by London’s original street hawkers, Hawkes mission is right here in the present and the future. The world of cider stands at a crossroads. For too long they’ve allowed ‘big’ cider and tradition to hold back our industry’s growth. That ends here. Hawkes is standing up for those who want to break free and make a difference.
23. Frosty Jacks
Frosty Jack’s is a refreshingly crisp sparkling cider made from the juice of bittersweet and culinary apples. It is available in both plastic bottle and can formats. It is enjoyed on a regular basis by both men and women as a ‘tried & trusted’ cider for regular any day, low tempo ‘winding down’ drinking occasions in the home, often with food or watching TV.
24. Black Dragon
In the autumn of 2001 Gwynt Y Ddraig made their first few barrels of cider on the home farm in Llantwit Fardre, South Wales. What started as a hobbyist’s experiment quickly became much more serious and an expanded selection of draught and oak-matured bottled ciders followed – each refined over time.
With a history that goes back generations and a pursuit for innovation, Dickins Cider offers a new take on a classic favorite. Our Cider/Vodka hybrids are the newest revolution in the Ready to Drink (RTD) Mixed Beverage space.
